Judith Spiesser

Judith Spiesser (* 1982 in Graefelfing , district of Munich ) is a German opera, operetta and oratorio singer with a soprano voice .

biography

Training and initial engagements

Judith Spiesser comes from a family in which music was actively played and after graduating from school in Wasserburg, she first began studying musicals in Hamburg. There, the potential of her voice for an operatic career was discovered and promoted and the preparation for her entrance examination at the University of Music and Theater in Munich was supported. She completed her singing diploma in Munich with Wolfgang Brendel . Judith Spiesser made her debut as an opera singer in 2009 as Queen of the Night in Qatar. In the 2012/13 season she was a member of the ensemble of the Landestheater Neustrelitz .

Work as a concert singer

Her concert repertoire includes numerous baroque, classical and romantic oratorios and masses. These include Handel's Messiah , Bach's St. John Passion and Christmas Oratorio , Haydn's Creation and Seasons , Mozart's Requiem and Coronation Mass , Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's Paulus and Elias , Dvořák's Stabat mater and Ghost Bride , Brahms' German Requiem and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana .

At the turn of the year 2018/2019 she performed with the Orchestra Neue Philharmonie Westfalen at the New Year's Concerts in various cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the Stadthalle Ahlen and the Heinz Hilpert Theater in Lünen .
