Judson Pratt

Judson Pratt (born December 6, 1916 in Hingham , Massachusetts , † February 9, 2002 in Northridge , California ) was an American actor .

Life

Pratt began his career as a stage actor and made his Broadway debut in 1941 . He received his first television roles from 1950, he made his feature film debut in Alfred Hitchcock's film noir Ich confession , but in a role not mentioned in the credits. His film roles slowly became more important, for example in Jack Arnold's horror film The Terror Sneaks Through the Night and alongside John Wayne in John Ford's western The Last Order . He also played other supporting roles alongside Elvis Presley in Kid Galahad - Hard Fists, Hot Love , alongside Richard Widmark in Cheyenne and alongside Peter Fonda in Futureworld - The Land of Tomorrow . He had his last feature film appearance in 1978 in the boxer drama FIST - A man goes his way with Sylvester Stallone in the lead role.

Between 1958 and 1959 he played one of the leading roles in the western series Union Pacific , which was discontinued after the first season. He was also seen from 1958 in various roles in the television show Disneyland . By the late 1970s, Pratt had guest roles on various television series, including Smoking Colts , Bonanza , Kojak - Deployment in Manhattan and The Streets of San Francisco . Then he withdrew into private life.
