Julian Simon Thomas (* 1981 ) is a professional German poker player .

Poker career

Thomas comes from Berlin . He plays online under the nicknames HealTheWorld ( PokerStars ) and xkgdrds1 ( partypoker ) and was one of the founders of Team GatsbyKempinho , an amalgamation of the poker players Rainer Kempe , Fedor Holz , Steffen Sontheimer , Benjamin Rolle and David Kaufmann. In July 2018 he founded along with several other poker players an e-sports team called No Limit Gaming . Thomas has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2012 .

At the end of April 2013, Thomas finished seventh at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Berlin and received prize money of 110,000 euros . In December 2013 he won the Main Event of the World Poker Tour in Prague . For this he prevailed against 305 other players and received a prize of more than 200,000 euros. In June 2014 , Thomas was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful and died in a tournament variant No-Limit Hold'em the money. In mid-December 2016 he reached the final table at the EPT Super High Roller in Prague and finished the tournament in sixth place for around 150,000 euros in prize money. At the beginning of May 2017, Thomas finished eighth at the high roller event of the PokerStars Championship in Monte-Carlo and received almost 130,000 euros. In mid-December 2017, he finished fifth in the Super High Roller of the partypoker Eurasian Poker Tour in Prague for 150,000 euros. At the beginning of May 2018, Thomas finished sixth at the EPT High Roller in Monte-Carlo for around 165,000 euros. At the end of October 2018, he reached the final table of the Super High Roller of the World Series of Poker Europe at King's Resort in Rozvadov and took third place, which was paid for with more than 1.1 million euros. Since then, it has not had another live cash placement to date.

Overall, Thomas has more than 2.5 million playing poker in live tournament dollars earned.
