Dietrich "Didi" Fast (born June 21, 1985 in the Soviet Union ) is a professional German poker player .

Personal

Almost spent the first years of his life with his German parents and sister in the Soviet Union . After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the family returned to Germany. He later lived in Berlin and was an amateur soccer player for black and white broadcast in the district league. Almost lives in Vienna .

Poker career

Career

Almost has been playing poker since 2006. Online he uses the nickname 2pacnrw16 . Fast has also been participating in live poker tournaments since at least 2009 .

In February 2009, Fast won the Poker Classic in Bad Oeynhausen and with it his first major live prize money of 10,800 euros . In June 2014 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in a tournament in the No Limit Hold'em variant . At the beginning of 2015, Fast made it into the money for the first time at the main event of the European Poker Tour as part of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures in the Bahamas and won around 25,000 US dollars . At the 2015 WSOP , he finished in the money again in an event before winning the Oktoberfest tournament at the World Series of Poker Europe, which took place in Berlin around three months later . In mid-October 2015 he prevailed against 2,143 other players and secured more than 150,000 euros in prize money and a bracelet . In early March 2016, Fast won the LA Poker Classic of the World Poker Tour in Los Angeles and received prize money of over one million US dollars. At the end of March 2017, he won the Super High Roller Event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood , Florida , with a prize of nearly $ 500,000. At the PokerStars Championship in Barcelona in August 2017 , Fast took fourth place in the Super High Roller for prize money of over 400,000 euros. In mid-October 2017, he finished fifth at the main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Macau for the equivalent of just under 600,000 US dollars. In the same place, Fast won the Super High Roller of the Asia Championship of Poker just a few days later with a bonus of over 2 million US dollars.

In total, Fast has earned at least 7.5 million US dollars in live tournaments , making it one of the most successful German poker players .
