Thomas Bihl (* 1975 in Burghausen ) is a German poker player . He won in 2007 the first outside the United States be played Bracelet of the World Series of Poker .

Personal

After graduating from high school, Bihl first trained as a banker and then worked as a stock trader. In 2002 he started his own business in sports betting arbitrage .

Poker career

In 2004 Bihl started playing poker. He plays online under the nickname “Buzzer” (short for “Buzzer Beater”) and prefers shorthanded tables (only six players) and sit and gos .

Bihl won in 2007 as part of the World Series of Poker Europe in London as the fifth German by Matthias Rohnacher , Eddy Scharf , Katja Thater and Michael Keiner a bracelet of the World Series of Poker . Bihl prevailed in a tournament in the mixed variant H.ORSE and received 70,875 British pounds for his victory . Second was Jennifer Harman , who had four times as many chips in heads-up as Bihl. In December 2007 Bihl published the book Poker Matrix - Dimensions of Success together with Katja Thater, Michael Keiner, Sebastian Ruthenberg and Stephan Kalhamer .
