Jens Lakemeier (born June 13, 1994 ) is a professional German poker player .

Personal

Lakemeier comes from Neuenkirchen in the Steinfurt district in North Rhine-Westphalia . In his youth he did equestrian sports and played tennis . At least in 2017, Lakemeier lived with the poker players Jan Schwippert and Christopher Frank in a shared apartment in Vienna .

Poker career

Lakemeier plays online under the nickname Fresh_oO_D . On the platform PokerStars he won seven times in 2017, the Sunday Grand , a tournament of the variant PLO 1,050 US dollars buy-in. In September 2017 , Lakemeier won two World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) tournaments with a prize of more than US $ 120,000. He secured another WCOOP title in September 2019 in the mixed variant 8-Game , for which he received almost 50,000 US dollars. At the European Poker Championship in Velden , Austria , he took second place in the high roller event in July 2015 , securing around 75,000 euros. A year later he finished second in the main event of the European Poker Championship and received his highest prize money to date of 120,000 euros due to a deal with the winner Matthias Habernig . In mid-December 2016, Lakemeier finished eighth in the EPT High Roller in Prague and received almost 100,000 euros in prize money. At the 2017 WSOP , Lakemeier won the Big Bet Mix and received a bracelet and a $ 100,000 prize money.
