Hanh Tran (born December 10, 1982 in Ho Chi Minh City , Vietnam ) is an Austrian poker player . He is two-time bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker .

Poker career

Career

Tran lives in Vienna . He prefers to play cash games in the Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw variant , but has also been taking part in renowned live tournaments since at least 2004 .

At the end of February 2011 Tran won a tournament at the Bregenz Open and secured a prize money of over 40,000 euros . In June 2011 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came into the money in a tournament in Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw . In mid-April 2013 Tran won the main event of the Mega Poker Series in Madrid and received 34,000 euros. At the 2018 WSOP , he won an event in Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw and secured a prize money of almost 120,000 US dollars and a bracelet after Ivo Donev as the second Austrian . A few days later, Tran reached the final table of the Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship and finished seventh for just under $ 35,000. In mid-October 2018, he secured his second bracelet at the World Series of Poker Europe played in Rozvadov and won an event in Pot Limit Omaha with a prize of almost 60,000 euros.

Overall, Tran has earned more than $ 500,000 in poker in live tournaments.
