Sebastian Langrock (* 1977 in Leipzig ) is a professional German poker player .
Personal
Langrock moved to Munich in 1989 . After graduating from high school, he began studying pedagogy , but did not complete it. Before he started playing poker, he worked in a bar . At the beginning of March 2013 he was a candidate for the quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire , moderated by Günther Jauch ? In the show broadcast on March 11, 2013, Langrock became the eighth regular main winner and thus won one million euros .
Poker career
Langrock plays on the online poker platform PokerStars under the nickname seball . Since 2012 he has been participating in renowned live tournaments .
In July 2013 , Langrock was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and cashed in a tournament of the No Limit Hold'em variant . In mid-December 2013 he made it to the money at the main event of the European Poker Tour in Prague and received € 8,600 in prize money for his 138th place. At the beginning of June 2014, Langrock finished third at the main event of the German Championship of Poker in Rozvadov , securing over 30,000 euros. At the main event of the partypoker WPT National in December 2014 in Prague, he again took third place for just under 50,000 euros. At the 2017 WSOP , Langrock won a mix event of No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha . He prevailed against 1,057 other players and received a bracelet as well as his largest prize money to date of almost 270,000 US dollars .
Altogether, Langrock has earned more than $ 800,000 in poker in live tournaments.
