Justine Wong-Orantes (born October 6, 1995 in Torrance , California ) is an American national volleyball player . Libera has been playing for German Bundesliga club SSC Palmberg Schwerin since 2019 .

Career

Wong-Orantes, whose parents were volleyball players and coaches, began her career at the age of six. In beach volleyball , she won as a 12-year-old a tournament in California Summer Ross . In 2011 and 2012 she finished ninth with Sara Hughes at the World Youth Championships in Umag and Larnaka . After her time at Los Alamitos High School, she studied at the University of Nebraska from 2013 to 2016 and played on the university team Huskers. With the team she won the NCAA championship in 2015 . With the US national team , Libera won the Pan American Cup three times in a row after a bronze medal in 2016. In 2017 she reached fifth place with the United States at the World Grand Prix and in 2018 she won the Nations League . In 2019 she moved to the German Bundesliga club SSC Palmberg Schwerin . In the 2019/20 DVV Cup , Szakmáry made it to the semi-finals with the club. When the Bundesliga season was canceled shortly before the playoffs, Schwerin was in first place in the table.
