Kâhta ( Kurdish colic ) is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Adıyaman in southeastern Anatolia . The city of Kâhta is located in the center of the district and on the banks of the Ataturk Dam and consists of 17 mahalls . It unites around 64 percent of the district's population and is the second largest city in the province. The current city of Kâhta is not the ancient Kâhta.
