course

The Kürnach rises west of the Buchenberg district of Wegscheidel . It flows west through the Kürnachtal of the same name, which in sections separates the Hohentanner Forest and Kürnacher Forest . It crosses the hamlets of Oberkürnach, Unterkürnach and Häfeliswald, which belong to Wiggensbach . North of Schmidsfelden , it flows into the Aitrach tributary Eschach, which comes from the south on the border with Baden-Württemberg .

useful information

The Kürnach is fed by numerous ravines and mountain streams. The natural course of the Kürnach is hardly restricted and intact bank vegetation is also present almost continuously.

The Kürnach flows between the northern and central parts of the fauna-flora-habitat area Kürnacher Wald (FFH no. 8227-373), the areas of which extend in sections to the stream.
