Kalkofes Mattscheibe ( Kalkofes Mattscheibe Rekalked since 2012 ) is a German satirical television program by and with Oliver Kalkofe in which he criticizes German television . It consists of several, partly provided with reconciliations clips in which the lime kiln after a brief excerpt from the program using blue screen technology itself into mounted into this and then polemically commented or parodied and satirized . A special feature that shows that it takes a lot of effort is that Kalkofe wears the same clothes and hairstyle as well as beards, glasses or accessories, jewelry, etc. in many parodies as the parodied from the clips shown above.

history

Kalkofe's screen was originally a radio format that Kalkofe developed as a member of Frühstyxradios . The mostly three- to six-minute clips ran on Monday mornings on radio ffn from 1991 and were later also taken over by Radio Fritz . By 1998, 191 episodes had aired. Kalkofe usually dealt with a program from the previous week (mostly from the weekend ) by commenting on excerpts from it.

After an episode was canceled after the new maximum length for verbal contributions of 90 seconds, Kalkofe gave up the program. In the same year, 1998, the CD of the same name was released , on which not only the interrupted episode can be found, but also a selection of older, partially reworked episodes as well as an issue each of ABC-TV and Kalkofe's Last Words as well as an interview with Achim Mentzel .

From April 1994 the program was also present on television. The premiere broadcast it unencrypted on Sunday evening at 8 p.m. In the first season the episodes were about eight minutes long, from the second season about 15 minutes. In four seasons, 131 episodes were created by 1998. In addition, there were numerous special programs that consisted of clips that had already been broadcast, but received a framework (such as Achim his Mattscheibe and The Olli Kalk and Brink Show ) or moderations (such as the Mattscheibe Wunschfestival moderated with Achim Mentzel ). Kalkofe received the Adolf Grimme Prize in 1996 for the broadcast on Premiere . The last newly produced program was broadcast in late 1998. In 1999 several editions of the Greatest Hits followed . All episodes and the special programs mentioned have now been released on DVD .

From 1998 to 2000 Kalkofe shot three clips for the ARD sports gala . This was followed in May 2001, three good 20-minute editions of Kalkofes Mattscheibe on sport, under the title wonderful Kalkofes world of sports in the ARD ran. Oliver Welke supported Kalkofe with the texts with his specialist knowledge from the field of sports .

In 2003 Kalkofes Mattscheibe returned to the screen as a production by Rat Pack Filmproduktion . In April ProSieben broadcast three almost 45-minute programs that dealt with the "super garbage of the 70s, 80s and 90s and [the] worst of today" (Kalkofe quote). In October, a GDR special consisting of two parts of about 30 minutes each followed , which was held in the style of the then popular GDR shows and in which Achim Mentzel participated again.

Two regular seasons followed in 2004 and 2005, each made up of ten newly produced programs and two best ofs of just under 25 minutes. At the end of 2005, the one-hour special Annual Review 2005 ran , which consisted for the most part of new material. The 4th ProSieben season (again ten new episodes and two best ofs ) was broadcast on Tuesdays from 11 p.m. from June to August 2008.

The show was broadcast on Fridays from October 2012 to the end of 2016 in 20-minute episodes under the title Kalkofes Mattscheibe Rekalked on Tele 5 and continued to be produced by Christian Becker with RatPack Filmproduktion . Since 2017, the show has not been produced in regular seasons, instead there is a 90-minute review of the year and various irregular special editions at the end of each year. Among other things, the fifth anniversary of the program was shown on Tele 5 in the summer of 2017 under the name Kalkofes MattSommer .

The 25th anniversary of the entire series was celebrated on Good Friday in 2019 with over 25 hours of broadcast time on Tele 5. Oliver Kalkofe congratulated numerous celebrities and cuts were shown every hour, sorted by genre.

In spring 2017, 3 clips were produced for Deutsche Welle under the title Kalkofe's Media Meltdown in English and German in the style of the screen . These should be broadcast in 130 countries.

particularities

The show caused disputes with some artists. Klaus and Klaus founder Klaus Baumgart filed a lawsuit when the duo was referred to in the program as "Cross-eyed toilet brush and friend bacon buns". This gave Kalkofe a "Page 1 message" in the picture . An attempt to arbitrate with Thomas Gottschalk failed. However, the court dismissed the action in the preliminary hearing. It later emerged that the lawsuit was purely a PR stunt by Klaus Baumgart's management.

Unlike other hand ran the slugfest with MDR presenter Achim Mentzel , who confronted humorously against the harsh criticism: Among others stood in the decoration of his mission Achim's hit parade (while a child a song about school sang) a table with the written in childish handwriting text " Kalki is stupid!
