Career
Kane Hemmings was born in 1991 in Burton-upon-Trent , the son of the English soccer player Tony Hemmings . He began his career in the youth of Tamworth FC , which, like his birthplace, is based in Staffordshire . The striker played in the club's Youth Academy until 2008 before joining the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland . Hemmings signed his first professional contract with the Rangers in December 2010. In August 2011 he made his professional debut in the third qualifying round of the 2011/12 Champions League against Malmö FF from Sweden. In the Scottish Championship, Hemmings played four times in the 2011/12 season. In the Rangers, who were excluded from the first division at the end of the 2011/12 season , Hemmings initially did not play in the Scottish Third Division 2012/13 . He was awarded from January to March 2013 to the second division club FC Cowdenbeath and scored four goals in seven league games. On his return to Glasgow, Hemmings played in five games in the fourth division and scored his first goal in the men's area. In July 2013 he moved permanently to Cowdenbeath and signed a one-year contract. In the second division 2013/14 season , Hemmings scored eighteen times in 31 league games for Blue Brazil , including two hat-tricks . He was the second top scorer of the season behind Rory Loy from FC Falkirk . After the contract expired, the 22-year-old striker moved to the English third division club Barnsley , for whom he went on the hunt for goals 23 times and scored three goals. In May 2015, Hemmings signed a three-year contract with the Scottish first division club FC Dundee , which ran from July 1. On the 2nd day of the Scottish Premiership 2015/16 he scored his first goal against Heart of Midlothian . On matchday 19, Hemmings scored a hat trick against Hamilton Academical . At the end of the season, Hemmings had scored a total of 21 goals in the league, making it second-best in the scoring list after Leigh Griffiths from Celtic Glasgow . In the summer of 2016, the English third division club Oxford United signed him for an undisclosed transfer fee.
