history
When the St. Franziskus retirement home went into operation in 1973, the Franziskusheim gGmbH also built a chapel. Under the motto: A home in old age , the house offers the residents care and care in old age. The facility sees itself as a Christian facility , in which pastoral support is offered at the request of the residents . A regular offer of holy masses and church services can also be used.
architecture
In 1973 the operating company built a chapel next to the old people's home, consisting of 128 beds and 24 apartments. The architect of the facility was Karl Proksch from Geilenkirchen. The chapel is a brick building in straight lines. Large windows on both sides ensure plenty of light. The interior of the chapel has also been recently furnished.
