The church is a late Gothic, single-nave brick building. War damage and a necessary expansion were carried out under the direction of the architect W. Finkeldei from Linnich . The south wall between the buttresses was opened in three pointed arches and a south-facing hall building with a flat wooden ceiling was built on the three rib vaulted yokes of the old church. The western, fourth yoke is open to the baptistery , the choir yoke in the east and the choir of the old church, which is closed on five sides, serves as a sacrament chapel . On the west side is the sacristy as a connection to the four-sided tower. After the renovation work was completed, the church was consecrated on June 16, 1963 .
