Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows (Nirm)
The Roman Catholic Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows is located between the villages of Nirm and Kraudorf in the city of Geilenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is a listed building as an architectural monument.

The chapel is located on Nirmer Straße between the villages of Nirm and Kraudorf. It stands on private property in a fenced-in parcel that is accessible from the street .
history
The listed building was built in the 19th century on a private initiative and is dedicated to the Sorrowful Mother Mary.
architecture
It is a brick building from the end of the 19th century. The chapel is muddy white and has a curved gable . The semicircular roof is covered with slate . Inside there is a niche in the back wall, which is curved inwards , in which there is a figure of Mary with a child. The lower half of the entrance door is provided with a wrought iron protective grille . Flowers and candles decorate the room.
