The Roman Catholic Chapel of St. Franziskus is located in the city of Geilenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The chapel is located in Geilenkirchen, Am Kniepbusch 5. It is part of the Franziskushaus nursing home.

history

When the St. Franziskus retirement home went into operation in 1973, the Franziskusheim gGmbH also built a chapel. Under the motto: A home in old age , the house offers the residents care and care in old age. The facility sees itself as a Christian facility , in which pastoral support is offered at the request of the residents . A regular offer of holy masses and church services can also be used.

architecture

In 1973 the operating company built a chapel next to the old people's home, consisting of 128 beds and 24 apartments. The architect of the facility was Karl Proksch from Geilenkirchen. The chapel is a brick building in straight lines. Large windows on both sides ensure plenty of light. The interior of the chapel has also been recently furnished.
