Karin Jørgensen (triathlete)
Karin Jørgensen (born August 16, 1963 ) is a former Danish triathlete . She is European triathlon champion on the long distance (1997).
Career
In August 1997 the then 33-year-old Karin Jørgensen became triathlon European champion in the long distance in Fredericia (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
She was able to qualify three times for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships) and achieved her best result in October 1997 with 12th place.
Jørgensen has not appeared internationally since 2001.
