Heleen bij de Vaate
Heleen bij de Vaate (born June 23, 1974 in Ereil, Noordoostpolder ) is a former Dutch triathlete . She is European champion in the long distance (2014) and Ironman winner (2008).
Career
In 1995 she took part in her first triathlon and since 2007 she started as a professional triathlete.
On September 13, 2014 she won the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam and thus became European champion over the long distance. It has not appeared internationally since 2014.
Heleen bij de Vaate is married and lives in Stein with her husband .
