Laura Siddall (born September 10, 1980 in Nottinghamshire ) is an English triathlete . She is three-time age group world champion triathlon (2011 to 2013), European champion on the long distance triathlon (2018) and is included in the best list of British triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Laura Siddall is British and lives primarily in New Zealand and Spain.

From 2011 to 2013 she was triathlon world champion three times in a row in the 30-34 age group: in September 2011 on the sprint distance and then twice on the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). In 2013 she was the 70.3 world champion.

Triathlon professional since 2014

Siddall has been a professional athlete since 2014. Laura Siddall has lived in San Francisco since 2014 and is trained by Matt Dixon .

In July 2016, she finished fourth at the Challenge Roth after 8:51:59 h - as the fifth British athlete, she achieved a time under nine hours. In September she finished twelfth in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Australia.

Ironman winner 2017

In February 2017 she finished second in the Challenge Wanaka for the third time in a row . In May she won the Ironman Australia and repeated this success again in 2018. Three weeks later she was second in the middle distance at the Challenge Salou in Spain. In July 2017 she came second at the Challenge Roth.

A year later, in July 2018, after 8:48:42 hours, she finished fourth with a new personal best on the long distance. In September, as part of the Challenge Madrid , she became ETU European Champion on the long-distance triathlon.

In May 2019, the then 38-year-old won Ironman Australia for the third time in a row after 2017 and 2018 .
