Karl August Alexander von Drigalski (born January 24, 1779 in Berlin , † September 14, 1840 in Posen ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the 10th Landwehr Brigade.

Life

His parents were Bernhard August von Drigalski (1751-1818) and his wife Marie Charlotte, née Steinert († 1824), widowed Rolla du Rosey, widowed Heinski. His father served as a captain in the "von Zweiffel" infantry regiment and was later postmaster in Grünberg in Silesia .

Military career

Drigalski visited the Berlin cadet house and was aggregated on March 28, 1797 as an ensign with a patent from February 9, 1797 in the infantry regiment "von Lattorff" of the Prussian army . On January 18, 1798 he was promoted to second lieutenant and took part in the defense of Glatz in 1806 during the Fourth Coalition War. After the Peace of Tilsit he was commissioned on January 18, 1809, Prime Lieutenant and on September 23, 1809 with the management of the business as place major of Glatz. Drigalski married Friederike Philippine Sophie von Leipziger (1788–1811), the daughter of the captain of Leipziger , on July 5, 1808 . After her death, he married August Wilhelmine Mayburg (1781–1855) in Grünberg on September 3, 1816. The following children emerged from the marriages:
