Katherine Woodville , actually Rosemary H. Mason , (born March 12, 1938 in London , England - † June 5, 2013 in Portland , Oregon ), also known as Catherine Woodville and Kate Woodville , was a British film and television actress. She gained fame under the name Catherine Woodville (1955–1966) in Great Britain . After moving to the United States in 1967, she changed her name to Kate Woodville for professional reasons. In New York City , she became a member of The Actors Studio .

Life

Katherine Woodville is best known for numerous film and television appearances, such as roles in Simon Templar , Time of Longing , Cobra, Take Over , Mannix and Detective Rockford - just give us a call . In the television series Spaceship Enterprise , she played the role of high priestess Natira in the episode The Lost Planet in 1968 .

In the 1975 Berlinale nomination for the Golden Bear Western Men of the Law (Posse) , directed by Kirk Douglas , she played the role of Mrs. Cooper .

Katherine Woodville was married twice: In her first marriage she was married from 1965 to 1969 to the actor Patrick Macnee , with whom she starred in the television series With Umbrella, Charm and Bowler Hat . In 1978, at the age of 41, she married the then 28-year-old actor Edward Albert  - the son of Eddie Albert  - with whom she remained married until his death in 2006. They had a daughter together, the poet and songwriter Thais "Tai" Carmen, born in August 1980.

Katherine Woodville retired from the film business in the late 1970s. She died in June 2013 at the age of 74 years to cancer .
