Keiko Agena

Keiko Agena (born October 3, 1973 in Honolulu , Hawaii ) is an American actress who made her breakthrough with the Gilmore Girls series .

Life

Keiko Agena started at the age of ten on a small theater stage. She discovered her talent and, with the support of her parents, began auditioning and performing in plays.

After graduating from high school , Agena studied drama at Whitman College in Washington. In 1993 she had a guest appearance in the series Renegade - Merciless Hunt . This was followed by roles in Emergency Room (1998), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1999) and 1999 to 2000 in Felicity . In 2000, she finally auditioned successfully for the Gilmore Girls . Despite her age, she was then 26 years old (the age of the film character at the beginning of the series: about 16 years), she had all the requirements for the role of Lane Kim . Series inventor Amy Sherman-Palladino liked Keiko Agena's "fearlessness mixed with intelligence, charm and energy," which is why she got the role. Keiko Agena also did well with the critics. In 2002 she won the Young Artist Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series. In 2007 she appeared in an episode of the Private Practice series. In 2011 she played with Dr. House played the role of Dr. Cheng and was Charlotte Mearing's assistant at Transformers 3 . Further film and television roles followed, with the focus on series. So she was u. a. 2016 in Gilmore Girls: A New Year to see, since 2019 she has been in Prodigal Son . Her work includes more than 60 productions.

She has been married to Shin Kawasaki since December 19, 2005.
