Kevin Estrada (* 28. May 1982 in Surrey , British Columbia ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who most recently at SC Langenthal in the National League B played.

Career

Estrada began his career in 1997 with the Chilliwack Chiefs , for whom he played in the Canadian junior league British Columbia Hockey League until 2001 . Before the start of the 2001/02 season , the Carolina Hurricanes took him from the National Hockey League under contract, which had selected the winger in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the third round in 91st position.

However, the Canadian did not complete a single NHL game for Carolina and spent the following four seasons at Michigan State University in the game operations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association , until he finally moved to the Lowell Lock Monsters in the American Hockey League in 2005 . In the same and the following year Estrada also played some games for the Florida Everblades from the ECHL , although he was under contract with the Albany River Rats for the 2006/07 season .

In the 2007/08 season, the attacker was initially under contract with the Victoria Salmon Kings , but also played a few games for Manitoba Moose until he then moved to Europe for the Herlev Hornets in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen for the 2008/09 season . In January 2009 Estrada moved to the German Ice Hockey League for the Kassel Huskies , with whom he had a contract until the end of the 2009/10 season.

From November 2009 he was under contract with HKm Zvolen in the Slovakian Extraliga , before the left shooter was signed by SC Langenthal from the National League B in February 2010 . They provided him with a contract until the end of the season, which was not subsequently extended.
