Kevin Lavallée (born May 14, 1985 in Moose Jaw , Saskatchewan ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who has been playing for EG Diez-Limburg since 2019 .
Career
Kevin Lavallée began his career in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with the Nipawin Hawks. After a season at the University of Manitoba , he decided to make his first European engagement with the Groningen Grizzlies in the Dutch ice hockey league . From there he was brought to the Red Devils Bad Nauheim by trainer Fred Carroll . With 30 points from 18 games, he immediately developed into a top scorer and crowd favorite. It was here that he met his wife Jana, whom he married in December 2009. After his outstanding performance in the 2008/09 season, in which he scored 74 points in 51 games in the main round, and the Bad Nauheimers missed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga , he decided to move to EV Füssen . After he was able to draw attention to himself there with excellent performances and 60 points from 37 games, he accepted an offer from the 2nd Bundesliga in the coming season and switched to the Freiburg Wolves . When the club filed for bankruptcy shortly thereafter, he returned to the top division, to the EHC Dortmund . In the 2010/11 season he played again with the Red Devils Bad Nauheim. After they had to give up their goal of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga for the time being, Lavallée received a contract for the 2nd Bundesliga season 2012/13 thanks to his excellent scorer qualities with the Lausitzer Füchsen in Weißwasser . In the summer of 2012 he took on German citizenship.
After the Red Devils rose to the DEL2 , Kevin Lavallée moved back to Bad Nauheim for the 2013/14 season , but one season later he again accepted an offer from the Lausitzer Füchse.
After three years with the Heilbronner Falken , he ended his professional career in 2019. He then signed a two-year contract with EG Diez-Limburg from the regional league in order to continue playing ice hockey at amateur level in addition to his main job.
Lavallée lives in Rödgen , a district of Bad Nauheim .
