Kirchheim concert winter
The Kirchheim Concert Winter is a series of concerts with a focus on early music , which has been taking place regularly since 1990 from September to March in Kirchheim an der Weinstrasse in the Protestant St. Andrew's Church . The founder and artistic director is the Bach Prize winner Dominik Wörner .
The organizer is the Friends of Church Music in Kirchheim an der Weinstrasse e. V. in cooperation with the Protestant parish. With the Kirchheimer BachConsort, founded in 2008, consisting of specialists in historical performance practice , and the Kirchheimer VokalConsort, founded in 2010, the concert series has two ensembles of its own.
history
The following concert series in Kirchheim included: the baritone and conductor Peter Kooij with his vocal soloist ensemble Sette Voci , the La Chapelle Rhénane under Benoît Haller , the organist and choir director Masaaki Suzuki , the fortepiano specialist Christoph Hammer , the cellist Balázs Máté , the Soprano Hana Blažíková , countertenor Robin Blaze , winner of the ARD international music competition Andrea Lauren Brown , gambist Hille Perl , lutenist Lee Santana , natural trumpeter Guy Ferber , baroque violinist Veronika Skuplik , organists Rudolf Lutz , Wolfgang Seifen , Bernhard Haas , Werner Jacob , Jon Laukvik , Michael Schönheit , Samuel Kummer and Christian Schmitt .
There are regular recitals within the concert series, where Norman Shetler , Bach Prize winner Christoph Genz and Sarah Wegener performed. The ensembles include Il Gardellino with the oboist Marcel Ponseele and the baroque violinist Ryo Terakado as well as the Ensemble Les Timbres (winner of Musica Antiqua Bruges 2009).
The soloist Kirchheimer Vokal-Consort made its debut in 2010 with Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle in the original version for eight singers, piano and harmonium under the direction of Tõnu Kaljuste .
Seasonal motto
The Kirchheim concert winter has a thematic focus every season. The motto for the 2011/2012 season was "Bach - Genius & Faszinosum". The 2012/2013 concerts were themed “Excellent! Encounters with ... “Prize winners from international music competitions. In 2013/2014 the focus was on “Dialogues”, in the 2014/2015 season it was “Contrasts”. The 2018/2019 season is entitled "Facets".
