Kitsuki ( Japanese 杵 築 市 , - shi ) is a city in Ōita prefecture in the southeast of the Kunisaki Peninsula on Morie Bay (also called Kitsuki Bay).
history
Kitsuki is an old castle town where the Nomi branch of the Matsudaira last resided with an income of 32,000 koku . Kitsuki Castle is a reminder of the rule . On April 1, 1955, the community was named an independent city ( shi ) after various incorporations .
