Klaus Hoheisel

Klaus Hoheisel (born May 22, 1906 in Kazan ; † 1998 ) was a German officer, most recently a Brigadier General of the Bundeswehr . From 1962 to 1965 he was commander of the Army Officer School III .

Life

Promotions

In 1927 Hoheisel joined the 3rd (Prussian) Infantry Regiment of the Reichswehr in Deutsch Eylau as a flag junior . In 1929/39 he completed the Fahnenjunker course at the infantry school of the Reichswehr in Dresden. This was followed by the ensign training course and a use in the infantry regiment.

In 1936 he became a company commander. Then he was in the staff of the I. Army Corps in Königsberg and in the staff of the XXVI. Army Corps active. In 1940 he completed the 1st general staff course at the Dresden War School. In 1940/41 he was Third General Staff Officer (Ic) in the 208th Infantry Division and Second General Staff Officer (Ib) in the 292nd Infantry Division . In 1941 he was assigned to the General Staff and transferred. In 1941/42 he was sick in the Führerreserve .

In 1942 he became First General Staff Officer (Ia) in the I. Army Corps. In 1942/43 he served as a consultant in the Foreign Armies East department in the Army General Staff. In 1943/44 he was Ia in the 88th Infantry Division . After he was again in the Führerreserve in 1944/45, he took part in the course for general staff officers and civil servants in 1945. Shortly before the end of the war he was Chief of the General Staff of the LXVIII. Army Corps . In May 1945 he was taken prisoner of war .

In 1956 he joined the German Armed Forces , where he was initially a tactics teacher and later a teaching group commander at the Army Officer School II in Husum and Hamburg. In 1960 he became the commander of the 36th Panzer Brigade in Tauberbischofsheim. In 1961 he was head of the deployment staff and in 1961/62 he was a colonel with the staff of the 12th Panzer Division in Veitshöchheim.

From 1962 to 1965 he was commander of the Army Officer School III in Munich. He then retired.

Hoheisel was married.
