The monastery houses , formerly known as Schulholzgemeinde , are a district of Meißen in the district of Meißen , Saxony . The district lies in the west of the city on the Gasernberg, a little above the valley floor of the Elbe . Neighboring towns are the Meißner Klostergut zum Heiligen Kreuz , Gasern ( Käbschützal ), Keilbusch ( Diera-Zehren ) and Rottewitz . Mention was made of the settlement that arose around a former foreworks of the nearby monastery, including in 1875. On April 1, 1937, the monastery houses were incorporated into Meißen.
