The Kolikjogan ( Russian Коликъёган ; also Kolekjogan , Kolikjegan ) is a 457 kilometer long right tributary of the Wach in the West Siberian lowlands in Russia .
course
The Kolikjogan rises about 140 m in the watershed area of the Siberian Ridge (Sibirskije Uwaly) not far from the border with the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and flows through the taiga landscape in a south to south-west direction, always on the territory of the Khanty and Mansi / Yugra Autonomous Okrug of the West Siberian Lowlands. The area is extremely swampy and rich in lakes, the river meanders strongly. It finally flows into the right Ob- tributary Wach at a height of 40 m near the settlement of Ust-Kolekjogan, almost 100 km east of the city of Nizhnevartovsk .
The main tributaries are Lungjogan, Ai-Kolikjogan and Jokkanjogan from the left and Ochogrigol and Wontyrjogan from the right.
Hydrography
The catchment area of the Kolikjogan covers 12,200 km². In the lower reaches the river reaches a width of 100 m and a depth of more than 2 m; the flow velocity here is 0.7 m / s.
The river freezes from late October to May, followed by a relatively long-lasting flood. The water flow of the Kolikjogan on the middle course, at the settlement Kolekjogan 176 km above the estuary, is an annual average of 65.1 m³ / s with a minimum of 32.4 m³ / s in March and a maximum of 175 m³ / s in June.
Infrastructure
The river is navigable for 253 km from the Podbasa pier.
There are hardly any permanent residents in the area through which the Kolikjogan flows. The only places on the river are Kolekjegan on the middle course with 46 and Ust-Kolekjogan at the mouth with 24 inhabitants. Both belong to the rural community Wachowsk; the Wachowsk settlement itself is located 30 km as the crow flies above (east) the confluence of the Kolikjogan on the Wach. However, a large part of the river's catchment area has been strengthened by pipelines and ( since the 1980s) as part of the expansion of oil and natural gas exploration and production in the eastern part of the Autonomous Okrug, starting from the centers of Nizhnevartovsk on Ob and Raduzhny on Agan . partly temporary) roads crossed; there are a number of supply bases and labor camps.
