Conrad VI. from Haimberg

Conrad VI. von Haimberg († July 21, 1381 ) was the 35th Bishop of Regensburg and Prince-Bishop of the Regensburg Monastery from 1368 to 1381.

Conrad VI. von Haimberg followed a quarreling time in which Heinrich III, favored by the Habsburgs . von Stein competed with the Hohenzollern Friedrich for the bishopric. In the vacancy that followed after Friedrich's death , Provost Konrad acted as administrator from 1365 and was finally elected bishop in 1368. The bishopric was financially ruined by the previous disputes. Conrad VI. Due to the burden of debt, he was forced to submit to the cathedral chapter and receive his salary from it.

In 1377 he held a diocesan synod. He is a contemporary of Konrad von Megenberg , who lived in Regensburg until the end of his life.

The epitaph in Regensburg Cathedral shows the bishop as the central motif in the form of a half-relief, dressed in official costume and episcopal emblem.
