Ruprecht von Pfalz-Mosbach
Ruprecht von Pfalz-Mosbach (also Rupert ; † November 1, 1465 in Ybbs ) was from 1457 to 1465 as Ruprecht I. 43rd Bishop of Regensburg .
Ruprecht I was a son of Count Palatine Otto I von Pfalz-Mosbach and Johanna von Bayern-Landshut . He was thus a grandson of King Ruprecht . With recommendations from Emperor Friedrich III. , King Ladislaus Postumus and Duke Ludwig IX. The Pope had little choice but to agree to the appointment of Ruprecht I. The original election, which was in favor of Heinrich von Absberg , was declared invalid. Heinrich was to become his successor after Ruprecht's early death. Due to his family circumstances, Ruprecht I was considered suitable to protect the diocese from the Hussites and robber nobles .
At the synod that was held, beneficiary owners were obliged to pay their deputies better. Sermon texts had to be based on the text of the Holy Scriptures. During Ruprecht's time it was possible to acquire Barbing Castle for the bishopric.
