The Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS; Korean : 한국 교육 방송 공사 ) is a South Korean broadcaster whose focus is primarily on the educational mission and pedagogy . The broadcast center is located in Goyang .
history
The direct forerunner of the EBS was KBS3, which from 1981 to 1990 mainly broadcast education and culture-oriented programs. In 1990, KEDI (Korean Educational Development Institute) took over broadcasting operations and in the course of this, KBS 3TV was renamed EBS. On June 22, 2000 , EBS finally became an independent broadcasting company.
