Koubia Nord is a district ( French : quartier ) in the Arrondissement Niamey I of the city of Niamey in Niger .

geography

The Koubia Nord district is located on the northwestern edge of the urban area of Niamey. Together with the adjoining southern district of Koubia Sud , it forms the district of Koubia . Like all of the north of Niamey, Koubia Nord is located in a plateau with a sand layer less than 2.5 meters deep, which means that only limited infiltration is possible.

history

The district of Koubia emerged at the end of the 20th century, its administrative separation into Koubia Nord and Koubia Sud followed at the beginning of the 21st century.

population

At the 2012 census, Koubia Nord had 6,260 inhabitants who lived in 1133 households.
