Koubia Sud is a district ( French : quartier ) in the Arrondissement Niamey I of the city of Niamey in Niger .
geography
The Koubia Sud neighborhood is located in the northwest of the urban area of Niamey. Together with the neighboring district of Koubia Nord to the north , it forms the district of Koubia . The districts of Losso Goungou , Goudel and Koira Kano extend south of Koubia Sud . Like the entire north of Niamey, Koubia Sud is located in a plateau with a layer of sand less than 2.5 meters deep, which means that only limited infiltration is possible.
history
The district of Koubia emerged at the end of the 20th century, its administrative separation into Koubia Nord and Koubia Sud took place at the beginning of the 21st century.

At the 2012 census, Koubia Sud had 7022 inhabitants who lived in 1194 households.
