Neighboring towns are Pozořice and Kovalovice in the north, Kralovopolske Vážany , Rousínov and Stará Pošta in the Northeast, Holubice in the east, Slavkov u Brna and Křenovice the southeast, Zbýšov in the south, Blažovice and Jiříkovice in the southwest, Bedřichovice, Rohlenka and Maxlůvka the west and Tvarožná and Sivice in the northwest.

history

Archaeological finds prove an early settlement of the area. During the construction of the motorway, a Paleolithic grave and a Lombard burial ground from the time of the Great Migration were found.

The first written mention of the village Tři Dvory , which consisted of an episcopal fief and an allod belonging to the Wildenberg lordship, took place in 1349. In 1371, Půta Šacler von Wildenberg sold the Wildenberg castle including the allodial coat of Tři Dvory to Margrave Johann Heinrich . The diocese enfeoffed Budislav von Kruhy with the other part in 1376. Subsequently, the owners of the two shares changed frequently and the name of the village changed to Kruhy . In 1699 Dominik Andreas I von Kaunitz bought both shares and added them to his Austerlitz rule .

After the abolition of patrimonial Kruhy formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Holubice in the district administration Wischau . The Ortsbane Kruh has been in use since the beginning of the 20th century . Between 1903 and 1914 the cadastre of Holubice and Kruh were merged. In 1921 Kruh lost its status as a district. In the course of the land reform in 1923, František Frank acquired part of the large estate and set up a wood processing company. Between 1949 and 1960 Kruh was part of Okres Slavkov and came back to Okres Vyškov after its dissolution . 1964 Kruh was incorporated together with Holubice to Velešovice. Since 1990 Kruh has been part of the Holubice municipality again.
