Kruspis is a part of the market town of Haunetal in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in East Hesse .
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1216. As early as the 9th century, monks of the Hersfeld Monastery built a monastery. The place name changed from Chrispin and Cruspan and Cruspis to Crauspers and later to the current name. The church was mentioned in 1483. The school was built in 1835. In 1939 the village had 122 inhabitants. The village community center was built in 1968.
On August 1, 1972, the town , which was then part of the Hersfeld district, was incorporated into the Haunetal community by state law as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
