Odensachsen is a district of the market town of Haunetal in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district , Hesse .
Odensachsen lies on the haune . The federal highway 27 runs east around the place and west the railway line of the north-south railway , which leads from Hanover to Würzburg.
history
The small village was first mentioned in a document in 1003. The village church is built in baroque style. It has a wooden barrel vault, which was painted by an artist from Schenklengsfeld . In 1939 the village had 138 inhabitants.
On December 31, 1971, the place that was then part of the Hünfeld district was incorporated into the Haunetal community. The village community center was built in the 1970s.
