Hermann mirror is the smallest at the Haune hamlet on the market town Haunetal in osthessischen district Rotenburg . The hamlet of Sieg winds belongs to the place .

history

The small village was first mentioned in a document in 1396. The place name changed from Hamenspiegel to Hamenspiel and Hemen as well as Hunespiegel and Haunespiegel in 1789 for the first time so-called Hermannspiegel .

In 1939 the village had 50 inhabitants. There are two youth holiday homes in the village.

On February 1, 1971, as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the place that was then part of the Hünfeld district was incorporated into the newly formed community of Haunetal.

traffic

The federal road 27 and the north-south railway line , which runs from Hanover to Würzburg, run east around the town . Hermannspiegel is also close to the Bebra – Fulda railway line .
