Kurt Conradi (born June 19, 1924 in Leipzig , † June 4, 2014 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Conradi took private acting lessons from Hans-Joachim Recknitz and also completed an acting degree at the University of Music in Leipzig after 1945. In 1947 he made his stage debut in Sangerhausen. This was followed by theater engagements in Zwickau, Radebeul, Magdeburg and in 1956 in the GDR at the Deutsches Theater Berlin under Wolfgang Langhoff . After the construction of the Wall, Conradi, who despite his involvement with the DT, lived in Berlin-Grunewald , only appeared on German theaters. He played in Hamburg, Kassel, Düsseldorf and Berlin as well as in touring theaters. He was also seen on German-speaking stages in other European countries such as Zurich.

During his engagement at DT Berlin, Conradi also got some roles in productions of DEFA and DFF . He played the soldier condemned to death in Joachim Kunert's The Last Night , the One-Legged Veteran in the Borchert film Outside Front Door , directed by Kurt Maetzig in Captain Loy's Dream , in a Stacheltier comedy and directed by Herwart Grosse as well as Gerry Wolff as an investigative police officer in Heinz Thiel's crime film Tanz am Sonnabend - Mord? . From 1962 Conradi appeared almost exclusively in West German productions, such as in Gustav Burmester's drama Stalingrad and alongside Inge Meysel in John Olden's The Red Rooster . In 1966, Conradi also played one of his best-known television roles under Olden's direction: in the three-part street sweeper Die Gentlemen bitten zum Cashier he played the British mail robber Ronald Biggs under the role name "Arthur Finnegan" . He also appeared in the Ursela Monn comedy once Ku'damm and back and in a recurring role in the Czechoslovak television series Cirkus Humberto . In Wolf Vollmar's adaptation of Hans Hellmut Kirst's Factory of Officers , he played the National Socialist “Judge Wirrmann”, who was ultimately responsible for the death of the main characters.
