Leonardo Gamalho de Souza , called Léo Gamalho , (born January 30, 1986 in Porto Alegre ) is a Brazilian football player . The right footer is mainly used as a center forward.

Léo Gamalho started his career in the junior areas of Grêmio Porto Alegre and CA River Plate . He signed his first professional contract in 2004 with the local rivals of Grêmio, SC Internacional . After stints at Botafogo FR in Rio de Janeiro and América FC (RN) , Lucas Paquetá moved to Portugal in 2007 to Atlético dos Arcos , a club in the Portuguese second division.

In 2009 Léo Gamalho changed again. He went to China to Shenyang Dongjin FC , a second division club . The following season he moved to league rivals Shanghai Pudong Zobon FC .

From the 2011 season, Léo Gamalho's international engagements ended. He went back to Brazil. Gremio Barueri signed him. With the club he competed in the São Paulo state championship , the 2011 Copa do Brasil and the B series . Upon completion of the season Léo Gamalho changed clubs every year, where he continues to unterklassig in the Série B or Série C aground. It was not until his move 2015 Avaí FC from Florianópolis Léo Gamalho came in the top of the Brazilian League Série A to. His first clubs Internacional and Botafogo also played in Série A at the time of his presence, but no appearances have been recorded for these times. In the game against Daegu FC he also scored his first two league goals to 1-0 (45 + 1) and 2-0 (77th).

In March 2019 he moved to the Criciúma EC in the Série B. Despite his twelve goals in 32 games, the club could not avoid relegation to the Série C.
