Quarry pond |
The landscape lake Allacher Lohe , also known as the dog lake , is an artificially created 5.5- hectare quarry pond on the southeast corner of the Allacher Lohe in the Ludwigsfeld district of Munich at an altitude of 499 m above sea level. NN . To the south it is bounded in its full length by the northern marshalling yard , and to the east by Bundesstraße 304 , which is called Dachauer Straße there .
history
Large quantities of gravel were required in the 1990s for the construction of the adjacent marshalling yard and the tracks . These could be extracted from the pending post-glacial occurrences of the Dachau moss on site in the opencast mine . The lake was created in the resulting gravel pit as an operating and extinguishing water lake for the marshalling yard.
The lake is fed by precipitation , groundwater and the Hartmannshofer Bach (also called Bächl ), the Schwabenbächl is the drain .
Protected areas
The lake is designated as part of the Allacher Forest together with the Angerlohe as a fauna-flora-habitat area (FFH area No. 7734-302) and is located in the Allacher Lohe nature reserve (NSG-00573.01, WDPA ID: 318087). Bathing in the lake is prohibited (also for dogs) in order to ensure undisturbed development of the bank areas as well as the shallow water areas that are important for amphibians and for ground-breeding water-loving bird species. Dogs must be on a leash and the paths must not be left, otherwise there is a high fine (nature conservation law).
The western shore of the lake borders on an urnfield burial ground of around 4.5 hectares and protected as a ground monument (D-1-7734-0101) .
The lake is part of the Munich green belt .
