Lawrence Hertzog

Lawrence Hertzog (born June 25, 1951 in Flushing , Queens , USA , † April 19, 2008 in Los Angeles , California ; also Larry Hertzog ) was an American screenwriter and producer of television series and television films .

Life and accomplishments

Hertzog was born in Flushing, a borough of Queens, a borough of New York City . His parents were Arlene and Harold Hertzog. He had an older brother named David. The children grew up in Teaneck , New Jersey . In 1977 Lawrence Hertzog moved to Los Angeles.

For over 25 years he wrote and produced mainly television series, for example Nowhere Man - Without Identity! starring Bruce Greenwood . Hertzog worked with Joel Umgebung on this series and they became friends. He was later brought in during the third season of the series Nikita , in which Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis played the lead roles. In the fourth season of this agent series, Hertzog wrote most of the scripts together with Peter M. Lenkov . A total of fourteen scripts by Nikita bear his name. He also took over some of the work from Nachbarow in season four and served as an executive consultant . He was during Nowhere Man - Without Identity! and Nikita in contact with fans of the series over the Internet.

Hertzog was the author of two reunion television films in the Hart series, with Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers in the leading roles.

In 2007 he worked as a screenwriter and associate producer on the television series Painkiller Jane with Kristanna Loken in the lead role.

He died of cancer at the age of 56. He left his wife, Karen.
