Le Mont is a ski jumping hill in the French winter sports resort Chamonix .

history

Le Mont, built in 1905, went down in sporting history because it was the first ever Olympic hill in 1924 . For many decades it was an important hill for international competitions and was regularly modernized. The last World Cup took place there in 1998, the last Continental Cup in 2001 . Then the FIS certificate of the hill expired and was not renewed because the hill no longer meets international standards. However, it is still used for national competitions.
