Lego Creator

Lego Creator is a Lego product series that has been around since 2001. The Creator Sets include houses, cars, planes, and characters. Lego Creator was later expanded to include several subject areas. Many sets contain A, B and C models. Instructions for three different models are then provided. These sets received the “3-in-1” label. For older Lego fans (AFOLs) there is the Creator Expert series, which includes the modular house series. There were also the subtopics "X-Pods" and "Mosaics".

The first Creator Sets were released in 2001. They contained oversized minifigures . The last sets with this type of figure came on the market in 2003. Starting in 2011, creator sets with standard minifigures or in variable-scale without minifigures were released.

In 2003 designer and inventor sets were released. These are also assigned to Lego Creator. X-Pods were added in 2005. These were also the first 3-in-1 sets and were sold in small boxes for easy transport. The classic 3-in-1 label was created in 2007. In 2007, two mosaics were also brought onto the market. These are also assigned to Creator and are the only “9-in-1” sets.

Creator Expert

The Creator Expert series was created in 2007. The “Palace Cinema” was the first Creator Expert set. The previous "Advanced Models" were subsequently assigned to this series. The Volkswagen Camper Van (10220) was sold as a Creator Expert Set after 2007. The first Advanced Models came out in 2000. They came onto the market without an assigned series and were usually sold exclusively. Creator Expert includes the modular houses, cars, international buildings, fairs and seasonal sets (Christmas sets) and is aimed at adults ( AFOL ). Even before 2000 there were already sets for adults that were released as a “model team”.
