The Lehigh Valley International Airport ( IATA: ABE , ICAO: KABE ) (formerly Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton International Airport ) is a public airport, which is in Hanover Township , Lehigh County , Pennsylvania is located.

It is located 6 km northeast of Allentown in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, the region with the third largest population in the state (after Philadelphia and Pittsburgh ).

The airport is owned by the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority , which also operates it. In 2018 the airport recorded 792,974 passengers. For the year 2019, the American aviation authority classified it as "nonhub", that is, as an airport with 10,000 passengers but less than 0.05% of the annual passenger numbers in the USA. In earlier years the airport was known as a "small hub".

In recent years, Lehigh Valley International Airport has faced increasing competition from Philadelphia International Airport (120 km away) and Newark Liberty International Airport (130 km away). These airports offer a wider variety of destinations and sometimes cheaper fares. This competition was heightened with the extension of Interstate 78 in 1990 and the opening of Interstate 476 . In addition, Frontier Airlines operated non-stop flights to 15 destinations in 2018, departing from nearby Trenton-Mercer Airport .
