Lehigh County is a county in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States . At the 2000 census , the county had 312,090 people and a population density of 348 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Allentown .
history
The county was formed on March 6, 1812 and named after the Lehigh River .
One place in the county has the status of a National Historic Landmark , the George Taylor House . 53 buildings and sites in the county are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) (as of July 23, 2018).
