Wyoming County is a county in the state of Pennsylvania in the United States . At the 2000 census , the county had 28,080 people and a population density of 27 people per square kilometer. The county seat is Tunkhannock .
history
The county was formed on April 4, 1842 from the northern area of Lucerne County .
The Noxen School is one of the county's five entries in the NRHP.
Five buildings and sites in the county are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) (as of July 25, 2018).
