history

The county was formed on March 12, 1800 and finally organized on October 1, 1819. It was named after Joseph Warren , who was an officer in the American Revolutionary War .

Ten buildings and sites in the county are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) (as of July 25, 2018).
