The Lemme is a river in France that runs in the Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park on the eastern outskirts of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux , generally drains in a northerly direction and after 17 kilometers flows into the Saine as a left tributary in the municipality of Syam . The railway line from Morbier to Champagnole follows the course of the Lemme valley.
